The European project Fortissimo has established itself since its inception as a bridge between High-Performance Computing (HPC) and industrial application – particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises. With the follow-up project FFplus, the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in various workflows is now coming more into focus.
In an interview with the High-Performance Computing Center Stuttgart (HLRS), Dr. Guy Lonsdale, CEO of scapos AG, explains the technological and strategic developments Fortissimo has undergone, how AI and HPC can be meaningfully combined, and the role scapos plays as an interface between research and industry.
