Fraunhofer SCAI recently released a major update to their optimization software, AutoPanelSizer. The software generates highly optimized cutting plans for panel saws — aiming to measurably reduce waste, production times, and costs.

The solution can calculate complex requirements such as bundle cuts, stress-relief cuts, trim cuts, and destacking rules in seconds. In addition to minimizing effort and material loss, it also considers production sequences, production restrictions, and residual material utilization — and can be easily integrated into existing systems via an XML interface.
