On May 13, 2025, the Inno4scale Innovation Day took place – a central event for exchanging views on current developments in the field of High-Performance Computing (HPC) and their path to the exascale era. Dr. Guy Lonsdale, Chairman of the Board of scapos AG, was active as a moderator for three panel sessions. The discussions focused on algorithm development, co-design with hardware and software, as well as collaboration between science and industry.
The event centered on technical and strategic challenges in scaling HPC algorithms towards exascale computing. In addition to project presentations from Inno4scale, best practices for developing scalable methods were presented. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of interdisciplinary cooperation to quickly and efficiently transfer research results into industrial applications.
