As in previous years, scapos participated in the Automotive CAE Grand Challenge conference, which took place on April 8 and 9, 2025, in Hanau. At this event, scapos presented a range of CAE-related software solutions developed by the Fraunhofer Institute SCAI and Fraunhofer Institute ITWM. Our participation underscored our commitment to advancing simulation technologies in automotive engineering by offering tools that address current challenges in virtual vehicle development.
Featured Software Solutions:
- MpCCI Suite: A suite of tools that provides co-simulation and data mapping for complex CAE workflows with vendor-neutral interfaces and support for a wide range of simulation codes.
- ModelCompare, SimCompare, and SimExplore: Tools for comparing Finite Element (FE) models and crash simulation results, assisting engineers in effectively evaluating and analyzing simulation data.
- MESHFREE: A simulation tool for fluid and continuum mechanics that accelerates complex fluid mechanics simulations without mesh generation, streamlining the simulation process.
Highlights of the 2025 exhibition booth included the presentation of the MESHFREE Fraunhofer Prize video and the announcement of the availability of the new ModelCompare add-on feature “HullCompare”.
Representatives from Fraunhofer ITWM supported scapos at our booth. Both Dr. Jörg Kühnert and Dr. Fabian Castelli from the “Transport Processes” department were present and provided insights into the capabilities of MESHFREE. Additionally, Prof. Jochen Garcke gave a presentation titled “CAE Model Evolution: Advanced Data Representation and Management”, with strong connections to the tools ModelCompare, SimCompare, and SimExplore.
